Varsity Soccer Player Profile
Gabriella Padilla
Jersey Number: 4
Position: Midfield
Role: Basically, I’m a facilitator on the field to keep the play flowing and intensity high. However, since I’m now injured, I’m kind of just the bench hype man and stat taker.
Pregame Ritual: Usually I go straight home and nap. Then, before my game, I’ll get a smoothie from Tropical Smoothie Cafe (peanut paradise with whey).
Hype Song: Any Tory Lanez song, Start Wit Me by Roddy Ricch, and Sunset by Dreamville (ft. J. Cole and Young Nudy)
Practice Schedule: For club season, it’s every day besides Friday. For school, it’s every day after school except on Tuesdays and Fridays since those are game days.
Biggest Struggles So Far: Definitely just staying positive and consistent after my injury, especially since it’s my second one.
Lowest Point:For sure tearing my ACL in preseason and missing out on senior year.
Highest Point: Being selected for the Puerto Rico National Team to play in the World Cup qualifiers in March as well as pre-Olympic qualifiers.
Future Plans: To rehab and work hard in order to get back to where I was before and have a memorable freshman year playing Division 1 college soccer.
